About POPOVYCH: Our Sadhu Board Workshop in Ukraine
A Ukrainian Sadhu board manufacturer you can contact directly
POPOVYCH is Mykola Popovych’s Sadhu board workshop in Ukraine. We make wooden nail-standing boards from solid ash and thermally modified ash, with either fixed nails or our own floating-nail construction. Our work combines material selection, machine-shaped geometry, hand finishing and inspection before dispatch.
Buying from a workshop lets you ask specific questions about the board you are choosing: its construction, nail material, size, spacing, finish and included accessories. Start with our Sadhu board models and prices, or contact us when you need help comparing configurations.
Meet Mykola Popovych, founder and practising maker
Mykola trained as an engineer and architect. He has practised nail standing since 2020; the workshop began selling boards in March 2021. He has developed the POPOVYCH floating-nail construction since 2021, combining his experience of using the boards with the practical work of making them.
Mykola defines the designs and quality criteria. The workshop team carries out the work of selecting materials, finishing, assembling, checking and preparing orders. The name on the board therefore represents both its founder and the team behind the finished pair.
How we make and check our Sadhu boards
Selected wood, CNC shaping and hand finishing
We use solid ash and thermally modified ash. Thermally modified ash is selected at the supplier and checked again in the workshop. CNC machining forms the base geometry; sanding, coating, assembly and finishing follow. Pieces with unacceptable defects are excluded from finished boards.
Manual nail sorting and construction checks
Nails are sorted by height by hand, with their surfaces and tips inspected. On floating models, the movement of the nails is checked as well. Before dispatch, we inspect the board’s appearance, construction and conformity with the ordered characteristics. These are our workshop checks; we do not present them as independent laboratory certification.
Our floating-nail construction and fixed-nail alternatives
Each nail in a POPOVYCH floating board can move down independently and return, with vertical travel of up to 10 mm. Fixed nails remain in position. The movement is a construction feature; nail spacing is a separate measurement. Our floating Sadhu board guide explains this distinction.
Mykola personally uses floating copper nails with thermally modified ash. Other combinations remain useful choices: your budget, preferred appearance and requirements matter when selecting your own board.
Materials, engraving and a personal gift
Choose the wood, metal and construction first, then confirm the size and nail spacing. Read our Sadhu board materials comparison and selection guide if the options are unfamiliar.
The main pair includes a personalised kraft box. Optional engraving can add a name, inscription, symbol or design; a carrying bag and other paid additions are selected separately. For unusual dimensions, special materials or several sets, contact the workshop so that specifications, availability and timing can be agreed before production.
Customer experience and support after purchase
Read our Sadhu board customer reviews to learn about buyers’ experiences of consultation, craftsmanship and service. Reviews describe individual experiences, with each source and context kept distinct.
Our commercial warranty covers manufacturing defects for 12 months under the applicable terms. For support, contact mail@sadhu.com.ua or the workshop on Telegram. See warranty and returns and board care. POPOVYCH is the workshop brand; its founder and the legal seller named in the order documents have distinct roles.
